Obituary for Dolores J Bradshaw

We celebrate and honor the life of Dolores J. Bradshaw of Parker, Colorado. Born in Colorado Springs, CO in 1934 to Ethel and Lawrence Brownewell. She attended college at Colorado College in Colorado Springs and then moved to Idaho for a job as a medical technologist. It was there that she met Harold Bradshaw during a bowling league and they were married from 1958-1988. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Colleen Bohland (Bradshaw) of Parker, CO and Kathleen Ann Harvey (Bradshaw) of Arvada, CO, grandchildren Julia Denzer (30) (Harvey), Brianna Bohland (20), Aaron Harvey (19), Joe Harvey (17) and Preston Bohland (17). She is also survived by sister Laura Lee Ramer (Brownewell), and brother Don Brownewell.

Dolores enjoyed many different jobs throughout her life. She also volunteered at schools giving children extra help with reading. She discovered at about age 60 that she had a talent for drawing and painting and created many memorable works of art. While working she was still able to take her daughters to 4H, piano lessons and many other events. Dolores and Harold took their daughters on many camping trips and used that time to teach them to play bridge and enjoy the outdoors. Dolores loved playing bridge and attended a bridge bash on the east coast with other online players. One of her favorite times in life was when she moved to upstate New York in 1990 to be with her friend Tag and start antique dealing. In 1998, she moved back to Colorado to be with her daughters and recently born grandchildren. Dolores had a beloved cat companion for 19 years named Suki. She met Harry Gibson 3 years ago who was her love and companion. Dolores will be very much missed.
